Hi,
Just checking in to see what has worked for others....I am finding myself wide awake about 8 pm til midnight or later (every night) but am exhausted during the day.....not sure how to fix this...I force myself to go to bed even if I cant sleep. I often wake at night and am able to fall back to sleep though.
Not taking a sleep med right now- cut back on meds and rearranged my cymbalta to try and decrease the daytime fatigue....(which is a tiny bit better).
Any suggestions?

My sleep-wake cycle is also messed up, more than yours. (I am writing this at 3 AM wide awake lol)
When I don't have to get up early for an appointment, work or class, I can literally sleep all day. I regularly sleep until 3 PM. Sometimes I sleep until 7 PM.
Almost all days I go to bed after 3 AM, sometimes I don't go to bed until noon.
What helps me is forcing myself to wake up early. It takes about a week, but if I wake up early every day I will start getting tired earlier and earlier. The tricky part is getting up early without a concrete reason to, like work. It is very hard for me to get up in the morning.
Even though I will start getting tired earlier I find I still have to force myself to go to bed. I need to have discipline. If I don't force myself to go to bed I often don't go to bed until 2 AM.
I consider myself lucky if I am able to wake up at 9 AM and go to bed at 11 PM several days in a row.
My natural tendency is to sleep in more and more and go to bed later and later.
I've been known to take a couple of Benadryl at night so I can force myself to sleep earlier. It doesn't always work and when it does, sometimes I still sleep until noon.
It is a very frustrating problem -- to live in a world that gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night.

FM, just some thoughts:
a sleep study if you have insurance.
Melatonin supplement (otc).
Accupunture and herbs.
That melatonin based sleep aid--rozeram or something like that--maybe.
Good to see you, and happy for you that you are able to cut back and not hang around the board. Good Luck!
