Anyone out there do yoga and take tricyclic antidepressants or anything that can give you occasional orthostatic hypotension. I'm concerned about doing headstands and getting wobbly and falling over.

Hi Tony - yes, I was on 200mg of Imipramine while doing yoga - there were only a few times when orthostatic hypotension became a problem, but I would just stop what I was doing and lie down. I was doing some pretty aerobic yoga too. Another class I went to was less aerobic and I actually found myself having more problems. I think if you take it easy in the beginning you'll know what you can do.
Good Luck,
M

Don't forget to maintain a decent fluid intake. Orthostatic hypotension gets much worse with even mild dehydration.
