I am on ativan thrice daily - 0.5, 0.5, 1mg, since past 10 days
Tapering Lex - now down to 10 mg from 12.5I have begun to notice that the sedative effects are wearing down a bit, though the anxiolytic effects are as good as day one.
I notice that the lorazepam makes me calm through out its course of action, but I have been noticing a sense of dread and impending doom, unreal spaced out too...
I must say as an axiolytic lorazepam has helped me deal with lexapro's withdrawal effect (quick taper)...
Wonder if the unreal feelings should be attributed to lorazepam's paradoxical reactions or is it just lex withdrawal...?

I forgot to mention that I am beginning to notice that since a day or 2, the 0.5 mg doesnt seem to be cutting much with me, has the benzo tolerance set in? could it set in , in just 10-12 days as 2mg total dose daily..?

I feel your're just getting used to the lorazepam and the side effects of tiredness are leaving. A good thing. As you say you are still relaxed. Phillipa

It sounds like you're taking lorazepam in order to help you taper off Lexapro. This is unusual. Lorazepam has a much greater potential for dependence than Lexapro. When Lexapro is tapered sufficiently slowly, additional medication to treat withdrawal symptoms is not generally necessary.
