Dreams and nightmares

Posted by Meltingpot on May 12, 2010, at 17:22:03

When I'm off medication I have awful dreams where I'm paralysied by fear and am struggling to scream but can't.

When I'm on medication and feeling a bit better, less anxiety, I'm having these dreams where I feel really, horribly depressed, like I know in my dreams that I'm going to have to kill myself. I have to say that in these dreams I feel worst than I do when I'm awake it's like a real sense of doom. Fortunately, I don't feel anywhere near as bad when I'm awake. Does anyone else suffer from horrible dreams and nightmares? It just really doesn't say a lot for the state of my brain or mind.

When I have withdrawn off medication I have extremely sexual and sometimes violent dreams, so I'm not sure what that is all about. If anybody could actually see my dreams they would be horrified by the sort of depraved things that are churning around in my head. I swear that our brains just hold data like memory chips or recording tape and when you're unbalanced the tape kind of gets all tangled up and starts regurgitating complete rubbish.

I get awfull with I go off the zyprexa. Dreams (nightmares), anxiety, psychosis, vegitation, panic (realy bad), I feel like just going crazy. Want to die, subconsiously, my writings. I fear people. Oh and I can't eat.

If I could only have one drug, zyprexa would be it!

Yes, I know, Zyprexa has been a God Send for me too. That drug has been priceless for me.

When on ADs, I don't even remember my dreams. If I stop ADs abruptly, I have vivid dreams for a couple of weeks. This is thought to be due to REM rebound.
