Do you know wich med is the one more similar to Neurontin?? Im trying to find something like neurontin but not that strong... I felt I was so high that maybe I could trying another medCan you give me suggestions please?

Hi Tepi,
The only med which is similar to Neurontin is Lyrica, but Lyrica is more potent than Neurontin.

Perhaps you could try a lower dose using the 100mg capsules.

I took Lyrica for anxiety - ended up on 600mgs per day. It had a slight effect on my GAD for a couple of days and that was about it. I personally can't recommend it as I just built up tolerance quickly. You may have better luck though. As ed_uk2010 stated, it's more potent than Neurontin so it may not be for you anyway.

I dont understand , why if you say that Lyrica is more potent it wouldnt be good for me?

Tep, is it that the side effects are worse?
Anyway, if you want something less strong than gabapentin, why would you want Lyrica?
I don't think gabapentin is good for you, actually. None of these things are. Gabapentin helps you put on weight, or it did me.
The best you can do is have some and use it on an as-needs basis.
Perhaps social fear is particularly painful when you are younger because you need to be so much more sociable than you need to be later on.
Why did you stop Nardil? Side effects?

OOOH I understand now , I forgot what I posted on my first thread .... very bad memory on neurontin
Anyway I guess I need to try Lyrica.
Honestly , this neurontin is giving some goods moments , like If I were enjoing my life for the first time in the last 15 years.... this is only for 1 day among 8 however ...I do not have a constant effect, But I feel this rare med is doing something good for small timesit is rare

>Well , time is passing and a I get older and older and I dont see to find the correct combo or med for me.. I already passed high school and collegue.... now Im working and years are still passing , my life is going behind , Im not an active part of this world so I need a change quickly

I ran out of the med like 7 months ago... then I felt I was doing god without it and never came back to it... Sideeffects , just a little weigth gain, not a big issue

I took Neurontin for a while, and the side effects lessened significantly over time. If you like the med, you may want to give it another week or so. You could also try a lower dose.

Try the lowering the dose.
If you already did, lower it again.
The size of the pill doesn't allow you to get the size dose you want to try? Then make custom sized doses.
The dose is already really low? Then it still isn't low enough.
Why were you prescribed neurontin? It was one of Lyme doctor's favorite all around meds. Brand that is. He didn't like the generic versions of it because they didn't work the same.
