Has anyone seen or know of reference/research on the use of mexiletine in bipolar disorder? I have seen references to it being used experimentally for neuropathic pain. I have also searched the literature with no results. Thanks.

I am about to start it at the end of this month (had to order from Canada!). I had the best response to trileptal, but unfortunately has an allergy to it, so we are going to try mexilitene since it is a sodium channel blocker.
I hope it works and doesn't make me depressed!
