okay it seems buspirone has already made me a bit worse, so i dont thing im going to keep taking it....sigh... what about yohimbine. i havent tried it yet... but have you ever had any luck with it? is there a possibility that could have a abd effect on libido, it seems that it works kinda like buspirone after reaing about it, but it has an effect on alot of other receptors.

I was on Prozac and Buspar 15 years ago.
I became impotent to the point of being totally dead sexually.
I have never touched an SSRI-drug since.
Buspirone won't help you with this problem.

Poser, I don't know.... I've heard stories about people kinda' freaking out on yohimbe. But other than saying please use care and low doses, I can't really offer advice. Like you mention about the other unknown receptors, I regard yohimbe as a potent wild card.
Maybe try posting this at alternative (or is it health these days?) if no one here answers with personal experience.

i haven't tried buspirone, but i would give it a longer try. Jumping around between drugs is tempting but actually takes longer to get to a good solution.
I think there is some chance yohimbine might reduce effectiveness of the ssri for depression, but on the other hand it could certainly help (with both side effects and mood). Personally i liked it, thought i found bupropion the most helpful with sexual s/e.

This is the end of the thread.
