This December I started light therapy with a tabletop lightbox and experienced immediate, positive response.
The box I have is by Aura, and it's roughly the size of a magazine, claims 10,000 lux http://tinyurl.com/gu4lywv
I have bipolar ll and SAD, and I've read in a few places that this form of depression does well with morning or midday light. I take .5-1 hour daily. If I skip a day, that's ok, but longer effects my mood adversely.
Did anyone else experience a 404 notice when trying to log here? Well, I'm glad to see babble is still here.

I'm glad you've found a workable, non-drug way to boost your mood. That's awesome.
I got the 404 screen a couple times the other day. I thought Dr.Bob had pulled the plug. I was a little bit sad (cue single tear running down my face).
Do you also take drugs for your depression, or are you mostly relying on the light box? I've been diagnosed with Bipolar I. Predictably, I'm on a 4 drug cocktail that includes a high dose of Wellbutrin. I'm doing much better, but getting a light box could get me further along on the road to recovery.
Again, I'm glad your lightbox is helping you.

I got the 404 message and it's very slow to open posts. Anyone else have this problem also? Phillipa

That's great you're feeling better. Four medications isn't that bad. I was reading a 2015 study on treatment resistant bipolar, and they said the standard guide of monotherapy is being justly overturned. I take four medications as well: lamotrigine, Trintellix, Lyrica and armodafinil. Each one is important and, I guess, supports the others.
You're aware there is caution extended to folks with BP l and light therapy. Just have supervision. I do. Just saying.
I was with you on the 404 thing. There was a pang of sadness, even given babble ain't what she used to be.

I thought it was my internet service. They're trying to sell us tiers of bandwidth access rather than just the usual high speed we've always paid for, and my husband said they've messed their service up a bit.

I think the site was undergoing a hosting service migration, so may have been offline intermittently due to that. I also noticed a slowdown in page loads, but it seems better today. I'm hopeful the issue was resolved.
Regarding the "psychobabble.mid" download-- if you run Chrome browser, here is one solution
