I'm reading different hypotheses/speculations on how (and if) Curcumin/Turmeric alleviates depression. I can't tolerate Antidepressant side effects - intense Anxiety/Agitation for one.
There is evidence I'm a slow metabolizer which might at least in part account for this hypersensitivity. It also might be meaningful with regards to curcumin which I've read can also impact the Phase 1 P450 enzyme system.
I've been researching and some say Curcumin does "not" work like an AD, others say it does.
Has it worked for anyone for depression (and/or anxiety)? Has anyone experienced side effects? What is a good starting dose (I'm a very small person)?
Thanks!
