Is there any reason it shouldn't be done? As far as I can tell, the tablet (0.5 mg flupentixol) has no extended release properties.

No, you can cut it if you like........
Although not many people want to take less than 0.5mg of flupentixol. Are you coming off it gradually?

I wanted to stop taking it, yes, but within two days of lowering the dose, I became irritable and negative, so for now, I guess that I'll stick to 0.5 mg per day.

flupentixol is anxiolytic, antidepressant even though it targets d1 and 2 sites. Strong medication. I think your right, stay with .5mg tablet
