Sorry, just a weak reach for humor.

Thanks for your post. A smiley can make it more clear that humor's what you're reaching for. Especially when things are tense here like right now. :-)

And seeing as you love to embrace new things (each time I check this page it seems like you've added a new feature, I appreciate the constant tweaking even when the board goes down for a few days to do it) how about a link or even providing a page of your own of emoticons or smileys? I don't know of any offhand but I'm sure the Babble crowd can pitch in with links. Just an idea. It has indeed become a bit tense as of late.

I'm sure they can, too, so how about some, everyone? :-)

I think at least some of the current tension can be put down to the lack of non-verbal cues. Traditionally my machismo has made me reluctant to use 'smiley faces', but I'm finding them increasingly essential on this board:-)

You've pointed out their usefulness to one poster; maybe a hint worth dropping again every now & then, particularly on the main board?

I got a mate to set a page of emoticons!!!! OK, so I think he's got slightly over excited with some of them, but they do contain your normal ones too!
