Dr. Bob--
I can think of few who deserve time off more than you do, but would it be possible to delegate a "housesitter" to take out the trash in your absence? Perhaps, such an individual could just remove questionable items to a Hold folder which you could review on return.
Speaking of which, would it be possible for you to just delete obviously offensive posts as soon as they're noticed and to notify the posters of their banning on PBA? Seems like that would lower pollution levels on the other boards.
Sometimes, even when odorant trash is removed, bad smells remain.---medlib

It might be possible. Anyone who would like to volunteer should probably let me know by email. And in case you missed it, I'm temporarily at:
instead of my usual email address.

Usually what I do is leave the posts that lead to warnings and blocks. That way, I think what I'm responding to is (more) clear. I think there's something about this in the article.
But if there are more posts, because I didn't block the person right away, sometimes those I'll delete.
I think it's better to post warnings and blocks "where the action is". Otherwise, those involved, and those lurking, might miss it.

I know... But those who forget the past...

I have done this several times in the past and Dr Bob has reacted very quickly. No need to say anything, just copy and paste the nasty parts and mail them to him. However, if i just have a "problem" with someone, I take it up on the admin board. That way I don't feel like I am running to tell the teacher.

Bob
