Dr. Bob:I wanted to ask this question beforehand. I run a "Yahoogroups" email newsgroup dealing with the particular issue of "Work And Mental Health".
Here is a description from the group files:
"Welcome to the 'Work and Mental Health' newsletter. The idea behind this is to discuss how people with mental illness, of any kind, deal with employment issues. Although this is an imformal group, and is meant for support, and can't really answer all and every question, the idea is to rebuild morale in going back into the workforce while recovering from a mental illness.
It is also set up to dispell myths about mental illness and health, and that people with an illness and issues *can* lead a productive, happy, and financially secure life. This acknowledges, though, that there is still widespread myths, prejudice, and ignorance amongst employers in the value of working with and helping their employees through such illness. Everyone benefits from it.
As the old saying goes...the focus is on "Working to live...NOT living to work."
Please feel free to keep your questions open to a wide nature, and don't be afraid to ask something. The messages are moderated, mainly to keep people feeling safe, and out of harm from harrasment, but also from spammers.
This email list will forever remain out of the hands of everybody accept the moderator, guaranteed.
I hope you find support and strength on this list.
Sincerely,
Jay,
Moderator Work_Mental_Health"I'd like to post the list address to both the medication and psycho-social groups, just to increase exposure for those who only stick to one group. But, I would be more than happy with being able to post to psycho-social.
Please let me know if this is fine, and I will point out this group has nothing to do with psycho-babble or yourself.
Thanks!
Jay

Posting an announcement to PSB is fine. As far as just plain PB, your group doesn't really have to do with medication, so how about if you don't?
If you post to PB for some other reason, though, feel free to tack on a two-line "signature" that gives the name and address of your group... :-)
