Lou's request for a determination on [statements]

Posted by Lou Pilder on February 26, 2003, at 9:50:14

Dr. Bob,
I am asking for you to make a determination on [statements] that I consider to be {uncivil}, because I feel that these type of statements could arrouse [feelings of being put down] and thearfore have the potential to not promote {harmony} here. The statements that I would like for you to review are those like:
1B. [...This is my last post to this thread...]
2B. [...don't ask me to clarify anything that I wrote...]
3B. [...I'm not going to respond to you...]
4B. [...I'm not going to respond to you because I don't like the {format} that you use,..]
Now I consider these type of statements to have the potential to arrouse [feelings of being put down] to the poster that those statements are directed to and thus have the potential to degrade discussion, and affect the {harmony} here. Thearfore, would you consider those type of statements to be [uncivil]? If not, could you clarify why they are [not] uncivil], and I will respond accordingly.
Lou

These IMO are probably OK.

But these IMO are probably less supportive than just not responding. If you think something needs to be done about particular posts, please post (or email to me) the links and I'll take care of it.

Bob
