I don't mind graphics at the top of page but your current photo is distracting and almost irritating - no offense.
I much preferred the surreal, "dali" one. I think you had it up years ago, and then a few months ago, only to replace it with the current rendition.
I don't think you are unpleasant to look at but your current photo bugs me so much I can't wait to scroll down. The only other time I change channels that fast is when "I love Lucy" comes on.
Just the opposite with your dreamy, warped, melting, portrait. There was a beauty and humility about it.
Maybe this is my borderline-personality disorder talking.

I said when it first came out that the aspect that bothered me was that he appeared to be looking down on his minions. It feels condescending to me.Then I stummbled upon an old post. It would seem that this is a favorite vantage point of his.
