I get widely differing results when I search for
poster:Deneb vs poster: Deneb
Which result is indicative of the number of posts I've made?

It would seem like the term
"poster: Deneb" gives the more reasonable result, but I've done with with other poster's names and gotten very different and confusing results
What's up with the search engine?

There should be no space after the ":", see:

The search shows I've made 127 posts since my name change from Shy_Girl to Deneb on May 25, 2005. This means I've made about 1 post/day on average. This just seems like a really low number to me.
