you mean IRL or your posting name?
regarding the former marriage or deed poll usually...
regarding the second join up as a new user and pick another name.
then make your first post over on the admin board 'I used to post under a different name'. You don't have to say what that name was.
then you can post with your new name.
i think the point of the notification is that...
you aren't allowed to post under more than one name at the same time.
also so people don't welcome you to the boards when they know you are an old hack :-)
