I am now stepping away from the computer.
I'll see you all when I'm less angry.

It's not you that I'm angry about.
I'm a bit miffed with Dr. Bob, and he knows about it.
And I sometimes get really frustrated re. the civility guidelines, as I wouldn't even dream of posting here without them and I overall find them understandable and reasonably well applied.

But I believe the rules must accomodate all true-hearted people, or there is a flaw therein.
I think the fact that true-hearted people are not all collected on one side of the line is evidence enough that the line is improperly placed.

I think we disagree on that point. (I think Estella and I had a long discussion about it once.)
It's been my experience that there are few issues where all truehearted (or even most truehearted) people agree. Especially when it comes to lines and boundaries and nuances.
I guess that's why I am so passionate about tolerance. I think there are very few topics indeed where you can divide people into right and wrong or good and bad or reasonable and unreasonable.
I just have trouble applying my tolerance to intolerance. It's an area of growth potential to me.

On the first crack, sure. Disagreements may persist. But true-hearted civil people honour intent, so in the end, civility wins. No true-hearted person has to be right, to be treated civilly. And vice versa.
