I'm tired, need to exit this site and get some sleep but I can't see how to SIGN OUT/LOG OUT. Years ago, there was a button at the bottom that said something about erasing or deleting cookies and that was how a person signed out ... I think. From what I vaguely recall, if you clicked on the "delete cookies" buttom or however it was expressed ("erase cookies" or whatever), the site no longer had your posting name and you had to re-sign in with name/password to get back onto the site. I can't find any such buttton to erase/delete cookies so I don't know how to get outta here!?? I've searched and searched and can't find anything that addresses this; I'm sure there must be instructions somewhere about signing in and SIGNING OUT!

Follow the link to 'Extras' and you can log in and out from there.
Have you read the FAQ?
They seem to have been updated fairly recently...
They give a pretty good sense of what you can and cannot do on the site etc. I think most of what I've said is there in the FAQs...

Hi Janelle,
Welcome back to Babble. I think Estella gave good advice about reading the FAQ about some of your questions. Please be aware, though, that there are a couple of new rules that are not yet in the FAQ. Dr. Bob intends to update it, but for the meantime, I need to let you know that there is a rule about posting more than three consecutive threads and/or more than three consecutive posts in a row. So please do not start another thread here until after someone else does. Dr. Bob believes this will encourage sharing of the boards. Here is a link about the rule.

Oh my goodness, I am SOOO sorry about my slew of consecutive threads. I've been away from these boards for a few years (eek, the time sure flies!) and had no idea about the "no-more-than-3 consecutive threads" rule. I have read over most of the FAQ's and will be very careful about my posting from now on.
I think I understand the "more than three consecutive threads" rule -- I take this to mean a person cannot post more than three TOPICS/SUBJECTS in a row - since you indicated to please do not start another thread here until after someone else does?
In other words, starting a "thread" is synonymous (the same basic thing) as starting a "Topic" or "Subject"? The latter are terms I see used on other boards, and then those boards refer to the group of replies under that Topic/Subject as a thread!)
I'm not sure of the "no more than three consecutive posts in a row" rule?? Does this mean that under a thread, a person cannot post more than three consecutive replies, so to speak?
Thanks in advance for clarifying these things. I want to get things right!

> I can't see how to SIGN OUT/LOG OUT.
I just wanted to add that you don't *need* to log on or off, it's just an option because if you switch computers, the wrong posts may otherwise be flagged as "new".
