I notice that there is really not much 'traffic' there.
Since there are the green "NEW" markers beside new posters' posts on all boards & since there isn't much response to new people on the newbie board, I'm wondering if it is needed?
I like to support new folks; I mostly check posts on Social & Psychology.....I'd prefer not to have to 'check' another board.
Obviously, this is just my point of view. I just thought I'd put my thoughts forward.
I don't feel strongly about it, but decided to mention my thoughts.
:-) Kath
PS - I guess I feel badly if a Newbie posts on the Newbie board & gets ZERO replies :-)

you do such a WONDERFUL job of greeting them, you know?!!!!
it's a tough job, eh? props to you for your hard work, but i agree as well. the purpose of the board is pretty much gone now, with the green indicator buttons.
hugs to you (sorry, stolen line from you :)
kk (different from the 1 k!!)

I know it would be another board to check, but it wouldn't take that long. I'll try to get back to it myself, too.
Thanks for caring about the newbies!

***you're sweet - but I don't go there often & don't WANT to feel like I should go to another board.***

*****You can steal THAT one, but NOT Jeez Louise!!*****

*****Yeah I know. ~sigh~ - yes, yes - ONE k is obviously FAR superior... needing only ONE.Of course, you realize if 2 are required, it indicates a much weaker situation, wouldn't you say?
luv & hugs & tea in mugs (you're not allowed to steal that either. As far as I know, I made it up, although with my memory or lack of it, I might have plagarized it (sp?)
luv ya, Kath (ahem - with - that's right ONE k)

thanks for trying to go there also.
Oh well, for now, I'll just check there once in a while & make sure there's a fairly recent post in capitals indicating about other boards.
As a 'codependent-in-good-standing' I tend to probably be overly concerned about others!
