Hi,
I wondered whether anyone had found nootropics useful for improving concentration.
Does anyone have any personal experience of using DMAE, pyritinol, piracetam, oxiracetam, aniracetam, vincamine, centrophenoxine, vinpocetine, pramiracetam, co-dergocrine or any others!
Ed.

DMAE didn't seem to do anything for me. I was taking a ginko/vinpocetine combo and that did help. It must have been a slow type of thing because I only noticed it was helping when I ran out. Ginko alone doesn't effect me the way the combo does.
I'm interested in trying many of the things in your list as well as sulbutiamine and chocamine.

Although considered a prototypic nootropic, I believe piracetam is generally less potent than the other "racetams". It is probably easier to get a hold of, though. I don't know if it has any nootropic properties, but levitiracetam (Keppra) is a derivative of piracetam.

> Ed.i only have experience with DMAE and vinpocetine. Neither had any noticeable effect on me, however. The DMAE was, i think, 100mg capsules of TwinLab, of which i took about 2 capsules per day if i remember correctly. The vinpocetine was Swanson's brand from the Swanson's mail order company or whatever. They were 5mg capsules of which i usually took 2 to 3 at a time occasionally, and for awhile 1 (5mg) per day. Nothin.
i'm interested in trying one or more of the "racetam"s for awhile though. But they're so stinking expensive. Does anyone know of any place to get them for cheap (if they are non-prescription substances-- if not, then nevermind.)?
