I am very respectful of the Chinese culture.
This is a land where they gradually and systematically mapped and studied and influenced energy flow, with itty-bitty needles, something we now call acupuncture. What a magnificent piece of work. But it is also a land that knew of water torture. Also magnificent, in its simplicity.
This is a land that had gunpowder for 1500 years, a millenium and a half, that did not use it as a weapon. Even though they had rockets made with it. When Europeans stumbled on this magic powder, they had cannons within only a handful of decades.
A different way, yet the same Earth. The same reality, viewed from a different perspective entirely.
TCM cannot treat e.g. a congenital heart defect, e.g. a hole in the heart wall. We excel at that kind of medicine, and we send out best doctors in there to teach them this other way. I wish there was more return flow.
