I started quercetin yesterday morning along with L-carnitine and L-tyrosine. I had three nosebleeds by the afternoon and they continued on through the night. I'm suspecting Quercetin *may* be the culprit as I sometimes have this reaction painkillers and it has a similar mode of action?
Any thoughts/comments anyone?

I believe quercetin is a blood thinner. Is tyrosine raising your BP? This could contribute.

>I believe quercetin is a blood thinner. That's what I was thinking too. It says on the bottle to avoid taking during oestrogen therapy and while taking blood thinning drugs.

Actually yes. I've just taken it - 148/82 plus 94 bpm. I'm only 24 so that seems a bit too high for my liking. It's usually in the region of 100-20/60-75.
Should I stop taking it?

It could be the combination of increase BP and blood thinning that is promoting the nosebleeding. Other possabilities include dry air etc.
You could discontinune the quercetin for a while, or maybe the tyrosine.
You could also increase vitamin K intake from leafy green vegetables which promotes normal clotting.
