I've been doing some research on wearing a necklace of rose quartz beads. Apparently it helps with emotional purification, i.e. releasing deeply suppressed emotion, resolving it, and then moving on with your life. I bought a necklace of Rose Quartz from Gemispere.com. It cost me $90.00. Today, I started using it for a few hours. After I took it off, I noticed some anxiety and my body was feeling weak. This may be suppressed anxiety over something that caused me to feel a physical symptom. Supposedly, this is good because over time, you may resolve your emotional issues and the physical symptoms will pass. Perhaps my depression will get better. I don't know for sure. Like I said, I'm just trying this therapy. I don't know how effective it is. It probably works better in conjunction with counseling. At least that's what the site said. Believe me, I am skeptical about this, but we'll see in a few weeks. I'll return and post my results. Good or bad, it's worth a try.

My psychiatrist says that the reason I feel lethargic is because of my depression, i.e. repressed emotions causing physical symptoms, and that it is not caused by any physical problem. If that is true, the Rose Quartz should help with my depression and in effect, help with my symptom of low energy. That's just my theory, but I think it's going to take awhile to prove it. Meanwhile, I do take certain supplements to help with energy. That being said, if the depression is never resolved, I think I will always feel low energy. That's why I firmly believe that depression is rooted in unresolved emotions. It's psychological, but over time leads to the physical symptoms of depression, which is why medication works on the physical symptoms, which in effect helps the emotional. However, I don't think medication alone addresses the root cause of the problem, which is psychological in nature I believe.

I have a very good quality rose quartz necklace and each day I'll either hold it in my hand or place it in a pocket. It is too soon yet to tell how well it works, but at least it gives me comfort in knowing that it could help me emotionally. Rose Quartz is called the "love" stone for its properties of compassion, platonic and romantic love, peacefulness. It is said to help one resolve emotional difficulties including fear, depression, and guilt. It supposedly helps calm the emotions. Believe me, I'm skeptical that a crystal could do this, but I have had some experience with crystals and notice subtle effects from their energy. To me, it is worth exploring.

I'm starting to think that I am not so sure the crystals do all that much for depression or emotional problems. I noticed some effect, but I can't quite put my finger on what the rose quartz was doing. It could be a placebo effect, I don't know for sure. It's interesting that they do anything at all, but there seems to be a subtle effect on the mind and body. So far, I can't recommend it as a good therapy to use, just if you're curious and you have time to dabble in it. I'm sure most people wouldn't be bothered. Anyhow, I just thought I'd post this experience for anyone interested. Cheers!
