Thanks for the link. I typed up a post full of questions and it disappeared. I'm perplexed. (I've heard of this happening but thought it would never happen to ME.)
The part that baffles me is that I guess I'm hypersensitive to pain, so I'd presume that I would get insomnia too, but instead I've had episodes of coma like sleep. Is there a distinct hormone that regulates sleep?
Do one of these glands affect testosterone?
Concerning the stress-diathesis thing I believe both my dad and myself are good examples. He starts rambling about about bizarre things when stressed and I lose my co-ordination, the best way to describe it is like someone with severe parkinsons. Fine pair we make!

Willow - I am sorry to say that I am woefully deficient in my knowledge of sleep disorders and any answer I could give would most certainly be partially wrong. I believe that there are a number of hormones that regulate sleep.
