10 First ever antique show is now DONE! No longer green! Now Experienced. (Way better)

9 Selling antiques feels a lot like selling clothing did, so familiarity is a very welcome feeling.

8 Ditto with merchandising. I loved setting up the tables with the items to make them look attractive - it was fun.

7 I got through a contentious email conversation with my big brother, asserted myself, and he backed down! (still shaking on that one)

6 Got oodles of errands down this morning, must have been on a roll from the productivity of the weekend.

5 Still have one last book from Christmas left waiting for me to read.

4 I feel like I'm barreling along - T calls it progress - and even though I don't necessarily think I'm ready for all of this, I must be, since I'm doing it. (Notice that I've framed this as a Good Thing.)

3 Writing thank you notes to my business's first customers! On really nice cards!

2 Looking forward to the next show.

1 Getting validation from my peers in the antique community was enormous, and very rewarding.

4. An electric blanket for chilly nights and it's even machine washable!
3. An aunt who forwards emails that actually make me laugh.

10). therapy w/ kind, understanding, intelligent & insightful therapist who has stuck by us through thick and thin.
9). cooking a real dinner Sunday night and good ol' "Two Buck Chuck" Valdiguié to compliment the meal.
8). playing (and winning!) Monopoly w/ a good friend who was gracious as our hotels bankrupted them...States Avenue can be quite lucritive
7). waking up to a wiggling dog who is happy to see us each and every day.
6). absentee ballots, weekend voting, curbside voting for limited mobility folks and other 'how easy can it be?!' voting assistance in this county for our state's primary.
5). having enough in the pantry.
4). new to us/certified pre-owned car is sweet ride and cushy....never had a car that made the boys jealous before (and no not the V8)! have only had her for one month and haven't even taken her out on trip yet to see what she can really do. heh heh
3). washing machine that works well.
2). heat, water, shelter, food. basics covered.
1). understanding ppl who get how hard life can be even if things are ok one day....the lack of consistency makes retaining contact challenging w/ many folks.........grateful for the folks who get it and are willing to allow contact whenever and however.

we're not laggers...we're ill and doing our best each day......all of us.

oh! let's not forget
-1). not giving up on ppl who often feel they're not worth it.......we're all worth it!

I don't do this often, but I feel the need

10. My kitty is getting a belly
9. My kitty is growing back the hair on his belly, which is in a spotted pattern that make me laugh for some reason
8. I have my own apartment
7. Although work is tough, I'm not crying at my desk everyday like my last job
6. My bed is the most comfy ever
5. My apartment is cute, even with my minimal decor
4. I have a car - okay, this is getting hard
3. I don't work at the that crappy pet associated store that I did a few years back for 2 horrid weeks, where I had to bag up crickets, which TOTALLY freak me out.
2. My apartment doesn't have bugs. In the past I have been plagued by those gigantic roaches, they would crawl on me at night in my bed & I just about lost my freaking mind.
1. My life doesn't suck near as much as it has in the past!

The ability to rent a washer and dryer for $30 a month. I used to HATE traipsing up and down the stairs, across the complex, in all sorts of weather, just to wash a load of clothes. Pretty much every time I wash clothes now I think of how much it rules to not have to leave the apartment. It was a serious pet peeve for me.

Fantastic list! I was hoping you'd make one, isn't that weird?? I think that seeing how strong you've become with your Very Bad Boss has led to some seriously great esteem. If you can put up with her shenanigans, it helps to put all sorts of other life experiences in perspective. I still get the heebie jeebies when I think of some of my previous supervisors, but I hope that in their future reincarnations, they'll all have to work for each other....

Funny! You're not a Pisces are you? I tend to be very intuitive with other Pisces.

I needed the encouragement about dealing with my boss today. Its easy to let things bring me down. I've been pretty down (depressed) ever since around Friday. But I've been fighting it. I've just got to keep reminding myself that my present is not the worst I've ever dealt with. If I can just tough it out, I will get where I want to be. That's what I keep telling myself anyway!

I have to admit that I'm absurdly cheered by the fact that 'Lost' is back!

I'm jealous! Windows are open and I'm wearing both deodorants today. Yup, I'm in the Sunshine State and we're in a DROUGHT. The sunshine part is really nice, but the warmth is, well, weird. I'm not from around here. There's supposed to be snow!

Oh well, at least I got to visit some at Christmas; that was really nice.

woman! have any idea of how long it has been since we've owned anything w/ more than two doors?!!

Montana after swinging by Alaska to snag jamsky since there's SO MUCH ROOM in the sweet ride.

oh for sure you and Mr. KK and duck will all get chauffeured around w/o having to fold seats forward or fold legs into origami pretzels. = )

didn't even make a run for snow as weather hasn't permitted and health is sketchy. next door neighbour has been ill since holidays = (

you never know about spring as we're expected back east for a ceremony in May....haven't yet decided how to get there. crazier things have been done than sailing through Montana to ducknap, we mean, visit w/ duckie ;)

You think that is bad? I left BO behind 30 years ago when I grew out of puberty, Then, I had a stroke 12 years ago, and it is back. I have to wear deoderant, powder, and a man's spray on aftershave to get control of the sweating and smell.

man, i have that problem too! luckily, the topamax takes away my sweating :) (i don't know if that's a good thing or not, but to not have pit stains is a definite plus!!!)

i hear ya! i used to have sweat pouring down my face in the summer. and they say women aren't supposed to sweat. i beg to differ! i'm all woman, and unfortunetly a huge ball of sweat in the summertime, if i'm not taking topamax.
