I went to court today and was granted the protective order that I was requesting. I now have orders saying that my spouse cannot enter the house or come on the property, can't harass or follow me, etc. It was unbelievably hard, but I did it. The judge was really great.
I also met with/interviewed a new pdoc. What a moron! I hate wasting money. But I got a lead on another pdoc which is a much better lead than this bozo. (Can you tell how I really feel about it?)

I had to get one of those orders... I know how hard it can be. Since sometimes YOU are the only witness to the bad or criminal behavior on the part of the man. And you feel the judge might not give you a fair hearing, because you're scared, or feeling emotionally distraught. I hope you were able to maintain your composure and it sounds as though you were... That's great!
I don't know if you ever talked in detail here about the situation that led you to this point, or if you ever wanted to... If you ever did, it would be ok. But sounds like this has to do with your dissociative episodes, maybe, so writing about it might be hard. Anyway, if you ever wanted to talk off-line, I'm at:

Hooray! What a relief this must be for you- the stress leading up to it must have been horrible.
Don't worry about the pdoc, I'm convinced the majority ARE morons. I've already posted I went through over a dozen- what I finally did was call first with a list of questions. The majority were willing to talk to me on the phone before I wasted a visit. Hope this helps and I'm so happy for you (re: the court)- judy
