Hello,
I'm so excited that I found this group. I have been searching for people, like me, who would tell me their experiences, first hand.
I've been on a combination of prozac (80mg), busPar (60) and xanax (.25 x 4/day) for over three years. I've been slowly deteriorating for about 5 months. My doc put me on Zyprexa, which was amazing, but....I gained 5 pounds. As a former self-injurer, and bulimic, I couldn't handle the weight gain. It was a death sentence. Since then, it has been virtually impossible for me to lose these pounds, and believe me, I have gone to extremes! I tried geodyne, forget it, I slept all day. He wants me to try Seroquel. That's how I found this forum. I was reading Mimi's posts and wanted to know if she/he was doing okay, and still taking the medication. I'm afraid to take it. I couldn't bear more weight gain. I would rather die. I should state that I probably wouldn't have a weight problem to the average person. Yes, I wear a size 2 or 4 at most, but to me, I'm HUGE. So please respond accordingly. No amount of reassurance about my weight will assist me in any way. I need to know if seroquel will help, or put the pounds on. Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much.

Welcome! I'm sorry if it's confusing here, but the board that focuses on medication is Psycho-Babble. Here's a link:
