P-doc does more meds related stuff.
T does more talk stuff.

Yes, just what muffled said. Pdocs (psychiatrists) perscribe medication, and sometimes do therapy, but less often. They go to medical school. Therapists, however, can be psychologists, social workers, licensed professional counselors, etc (depending on type/amount of training) and they do the talk therapy. They cannt perscribe meds, although there is a movement in some states for them to get perscribing privileges, and that may happen one day. Hope that helps. :)
