my home and where I get the most comfort and support. I just wanted to share with you my sweetie. My DD did a video on YouTube and I thought I would share it with you guys.
She has only been playing the guitar for 5 months, she took 3 lessons before going back to college and has been teaching herself since the summer. So bear that in mind when you listen to it. It is a contest of some sort for Taylor Swift for those that listen to Country Music you will be familiar with the song. For those that aren't you can scroll around youtube and find the real Taylor to hear her recorded version.
My child is pre-law but loves music. She sings everywhere and is not embarassed for anyone to see her. She will sing with or without music. She does read music so it was somewhat helpful in trying to learn the guitar. She taught herself chords, etc. I mean really how much can you learn in three lessons. All in all, she did a good job, can you tell I am a proud momma.
She said she made 20 versions and her fingers hurt so much she finally had to stop. She plays daily and when we can, in the summer she will take voice lessons and more guitar lessons.
I just am thrilled she is doing something with her life. 18 credit hours of school, teaching herself to play an instrument. I mean why shouldn't I be proud.
Anyway, bear with a proud mamma and don't move this pleassssssse.

What a beautiful girl. I love her energy and confidence! You should be proud of her...she's got that "it"! And she can sing!

thanks so much. She is beautiful isn't she. I am proud. and she can sing can't she. It isn't just a proud mama thing is it.
It makes me want to cry but a happy thing. And now when I miss her smiling face, I can watch her on youtube. :)

I love Taylor Swift and I loved your daughter's singing ... not only is she beautiful but her voice is so sweet and lovely to listen to.
My favorite line in that song ... "are you just kidding me?"

that is a nice compliment. My DD is obsessed with Taylor as you can tell. She got so frustrated trying to make this as she of course wanted it to be perfect but when you have only played the guitar 5 months perfection is still to be had!
She is a sweet child and I am proud.

That means so much to me.
I did not tell her I was posting this here.
I was so proud of her I wanted to bust. I had to share with someone and I don't have many IRL friends.
So I share with my bestest friends, BABBLE.
I hoped you guys would enjoy it.
I try to be critical of her singing and her dad tells her when she is off pitch, but she usually knows herself.
I will tell her she is great!
No one can hear that enough.
As you can see she isn't shy.

and her guitar playing was very good for only 5 months but must admit i was VERY impressed with her singing!!!!!
she has a great voice!You DEFINATELY have reason to be SO Proud!

Thanks so much. Of course, I think she is amazing, beautiful, all those things a mama wants her baby girl, she is 20 but a baby she'll always be, to be.
She would love to be a singer, but is still getting her degree in law.
Maybe one day you'll see her singing on a stage or cutting an album and you'll be able to say I saw her debut on YouTube. LOL
I am proud. And if I do say so myself I did do something right. I am not such a bad mama after all.

This is a little late but never mind - just wanted to say that I watched the video and enjoyed seeing your beautiful, talented daughter. She has the confidence and energy to go far! You have every reason to be a proud mum.

Thanks Witti, and it is not too late. I am still proud of my little girl, not so little at 20 but will always be to a mom. I am glad you enjoyed it!
she is a free and open individual and sometimes I marvel at having raised her and her brother. Who is much different but a marvel too.
