Here are a couple I think of right off the top of my head. I hope all of you will add to the list.
The Truman Show, I find rigid mind-sets really depressing. Some people just see what they are comfortable seeing. I liked the Truman Show because the character had the courage to expand his consciousness and search for the truth. I also liked the religious symbolism. Truman was a "True Man."
Savior, starring Dennis Quaid, A man becomes a heartless mercenary killer after his family is murdered by Muslim terrorists. The movie is about the man rediscovering his humanity. It is profoundly moving.
