This little Chickadee comes and visits the new bird feeders I have.
When it lands by the bird feeder, it wobbles and teeters.
It is skinnier than the others, the others chase it away but it comes back when all the others are gone. It struggles to hold the seed in its good left foot, while it holds down the seed with the weak right. It cannot put weight on its right foot.
There is some kind of parallel here, with the struggles we all face, that I face. I just cant think of it now.

Thanks for sharing the moment Mouse,
I could practically see that little chickadee from your description, but it's nice to see the picture too.

At least I know it's real now :-) Thanks again mouse. I love your outlook, and the things you find and share with us...

Ohh, the poor little baby! I so do hope he survives!
I love your endings. Every time you post, I have to read it whether the thread interests me or not, just to read what the little mouse is doing this time. I loved 'mouse with stretch marks' - I could envision this sweet little mouse with shiny little lines beneath her soft fur.

The dentist I see has a bird feeder right off a big picture window in his examining room. I hate going to the dentist to an extreme, but it is nice to stare at the chickadees, and once I even saw a cardinal fly onto the feeder and linger. The rest of the backdrop is trees (mostly pine) and snow so the contrast of color was particularly beautiful. I think it's the only time I've seen a cardinal, certainly that close up. Thanks for the special moment.
