I'm having this hellish Effexor withdrawal thing (no reduction in effexor, but withdrawal none the less) and I am just freaking.. I want to curl up in a ball in the corner.. this isn't my normal want to hide from world feeling... this is a just sit and stare and rock kind of feeling....

Maybe it's time to look for new med...to add on , then say for the next 20 years reduce effexor|*^)You know that ologist/pyscho always on tv....the asian with a square head and specs....morning tv and other daytime delights-yuck...shall I molest him as a joke next hosp visit....he ain't my type-or doc--but for a dare :)

I wish I could help hun. I was talking to Mandy and she says the docs there don't like to prescribe benzos. Will yours? I really think a xanax or klonopin would help when you feel like this....
all you can do is ask.
wish I could do something for you Nik.
take care ok

Tina,
yeah, they're a nightmare at prescribing benzos over here, they'll only give very small amounts.. I always get some when I'm flying or going to dentist, but they give me 20 and thats it! (and normally Diazepam 2mg, and it takes 10mg to chill me out!!)
But, only just over 2 months till Thailand and they sell dizaepam over the counter there - dead cheap (10p per 10mg)!!!!!

2 months til Thailand huh? I bet you think about it all day long.
I can't believe the NHS won't give out something like xanax or klonopin. It's milder than the diazepam I think and could be used longterm. What a pain.
take care Nikster
love ya
