'Tis a computer game. You get some simulated people and have to create lives for them. I hear they get depressed if you don't take care of them.

Oh yeah, my neighbor has that. Life's weird enough. I don't want my TV bitching at me, I'd shoot it. : )

No sims for you then. So what do you do for fun?

Great reminder - with my ADD, out of sight is out of mind. A friend burned a copy for me & I haven't even got around to it. Summer's been busy but wet winter's coming on. There's add-on copies for it too, did you know?

A game you might enjoy is Black& White. I love it but need to develop more finesse to really get good at it. I've slacked off from playing it this summer too, but the rainy season is almost here & I'll be back playing games for relaxation again.

Check out Black & White - it's even more fun than it says:

Tabitha, well, first of all, I thought I may play this game a lot but not so much that I'd stay up all night!

Let's see -- I made a couple that look like my girlfriend and I, and gave them our names. I also created them a house that looks much like our apartment. They became quite depressed in the smallish digs. Meanwhile, in a strange parallel to real life, the "me" character keeps drinking too much coffee, oversleeping, and missing work!

I created another house with 3 adult siblings. It's my dream home -- kind of a big, barn-like home with a beautiful living room/kitchen that flow into eac other and a loft upstairs for creative projects. The sims in that house are very happy.

I'm thinking of making sims of my parents, and recreating their house, or sims of friends of mine. I'm sure folks do it all the time. :D

Oh that's too funny. I'm sure if I modeled a sim on my life she would become depressed too. I think I need to get this game and create my dream life.

So if your sim is depressed can you put her on prozac?

shar, I hope I didn't give the impression I had a sex life.

Why, I had a woman over here a few nights ago, beautiful, I tell you. I ask her, I say, "Would you like to go to bed", she says yeah. Next thing I know she's in her car, said it takes her 20 minutes to get home and she was tired.
Next time I gotta ask. Would you like to go to my bed with....stop laughing, damnit!!
I ran down the road yelling, "You don't know what you're missing!!" She said she sure as hell wasn't missing me. Put her Saturn in reverse and chased me back home. I get no respect.

Sounds kinda fun, assuming there are bead curtains, big paisley pillows scattered on the shag carpeting, and black lights. Invite me over. I'll bring Rolling Rock and Ho-ho's.

HAH!!!!! Need you ask???? I think not.(Babbling brook in the background, you can almost smell the incense, okay hash, coming through the telephone.

Invite me over. I'll bring Rolling Rock and Ho-ho's.

I told you, I already have Rolling Rock and Ho-ho's. Bring something else, hehehehe.

I'm in Texas, so a good huntin rifle and lots of ammo is sure to bring a smile. Actually, I like to start shooting street lights about 2 a.m. You wouldn't believe the commotion a few high powered rifles can start. You ever went to a rattlesnake round-up?

OK, bullets it is. I bet those high-pressure sodium lamps explode real good. We'll stay up late, smoke out of the hookah, bang the drums, eat hostess products til our guts bulge, and then shoot things.

What is a rattlesnake roundup?

When someone asks what is a r'snake roundup, you are faced with the dilemma of making all Texans sound like complete and total idiot yahoos, OR trying to find some graceful way out that preserves a tiny bit of dignity. The eyes of Texans are upon you.

I used to live in Sweetwater.

This is where shar used to live. Actually, I've never been to a rattlesnake roundup. Don't want to go...HATE snakes.

I find it amusing that the Humane Society thinks this is that bad. If they were bit by a rattlesnake, I don't think they would care how many were killed. Believe me, there's enough rattlesnakes to go around. The only good one is a dead one.

I think Phil is just being modest. Texans are known for their mastery of understatement.

Jeepers. I try to weave a chaste little fantasy about hash, hostess snack cakes, and high-powered rifles, and somehow it ends up in Phil's pants. What is *wrong* with this bunch? :-)
