how to get therapy homework done?

Posted by Medusa on October 24, 2002, at 6:32:15

I can't even bring myself to look up the therapy homework I have to do.

Maybe it's because I see her as "DH's therapist". She's point-blank, hard-ass, no-jokes, straight-up and an expensive PITA.

I'm supposed to do career stuff (specific items), plus write these letters I just don't get. Of course I'm creative and could fake it, but ...

There are other items, too, I'm pretty sure.

I think I'll sew myself a three-piece suit before starting the homework. But darn, I don't wear vests! Does a jacket, a skirt and trousers sound okay to you?

Recently in my web-surfing I found a slightly tongue in cheek site about Creative Procrastination. The basic idea was that when you procrastinate, you don't usually do nothing, you do something less loathsome than the task you're avoiding. So.... the notion was you could set yourself up to get things done by always having something more loathsome than the things you need to do, and doing those needed things would become a way to procrastinate something else. So see? You're not avoiding your homework, you're sewing that much-needed 3-piece suit.
