So flattered to get a special little "Hi" :-) and so
happy to see you back on board....I've been missin' you girl!
I'm a little funky, but
I think it may be situational more than biological for once.
I may divulge more in email...looking forward to that email by
the way and to hearing of your adventures. I sure hope you're
feeling a little better.
I'm craving chocolate and chinese noodles....maybe some crispy
duck thrown in there....hungry.....

Was to you too.
I've landed in an odd but good space literally.
Odd to me because I'm staying with a woman I met at the hospital. She has a huge house.. and its like disneyland. I don't mean that as an obviously good thing, I'm not sure I"d care for disneyland.
Its just got every electric gadget and a Movie screen theatre, and D.V.D> Mecca.Normally that would put me off. But so far, she and her husband seem so genuinely caring.
Yesterday, there was a young woman, with messy scabs wandering around there 'posh" neighborhood.
One of the neighbors said he was going to "Call the police"
My friends husband said "Geez you could talk to her first" The neighbor wanted no part of that, but she was a homeless girl, and had been living in the bushes.
We had her in for a nice dinner, and then my roomate took her to a hospital, checking thoroughly first, that it was a place this woman would actually get help, not cleaned up and thrown out.And it wasn't done with a "lets do our good deed for the day" attitude, it was like it was the most natural thing in the world.
So you never can tell.Still I'm rather overwhelmed.

To hear about such people seems almost unreal. We're so used to ulterior motives for almost everything someone does that's good, that it's become natural to view such kindness with skepticism. But I know it exists. I know a couple (no children) around my age who are similar but without those sort of resources. When someone thanked them for helping one time, expressing appreciation for all the trouble they'd gone to, the husband said in all seriousness "but it's wasn't a bother at all - it was an honour to do this." And you KNOW he meant it. I'm glad you've found such people, Gabbi.
