I traveled over to PBab Admin. yesterday for the first time. It was a whole new world. I couldn't go through all the postings about what I'm responding to because there were too many, so maybe I don't have the authority to comment but I will anyway. It did seem odd that Dr. Bob wouldn't have given a warning to fuzzymind about his anti-Semitic comments. The first "rule" of civility it to watch that comments don't lead others to feel accused or put down, but he wanted it to be safe in this instance for fuzzy to vent. I'm a little confused, and I think it was all cleared up, but for a moment I thought well, maybe Dr. Bob is anti-semitic, and this vehicle of communication will all be skewed according to his own prejudices. Sorry if I shouldn't have posted this here, but I just want to babble.

I don't think Dr. Bob is anti-Semitic. My opinion is that he's trying to deal kindly with a very confused and distressed individual who would probably consider being blocked as further proof
of the world's hatred for him. Anyone who is still agonizing about a classmate's remarks 15 years later probably needs to think carefully about what his priorities are.I do not mean this myself in an unkind way. Anyone familiar with my postings on PB over the years would know that I was just about as screwed up as any person could be, and somehow still survive. The only difference is that I didn't just think that "the Jews" were out to get me. I thought everyone in the world was out to get me, including small children and their pets. Hamsters and everything.
Shalom-
Gracie

I don't think you should watch Monty Python's "Search For the Holy Grail" then. The killer rabbit in the movie shows just how vicious supposedly harmless animals can be.
But really - sorry to hear that you felt that paranoid. I've never heard anyone say they felt that insecure before, Gracie.

I do not believe that Dr. Bob is anti-Semitic, but I do wonder why many of the religious posters who offend seem to get more slack than those who post something and are simply misunderstood. I think the poster in question had received enough warnings before the last comment.
Of course it could just be my perception. (Or our perception.)
