It is the posts like the one above this that make me feel weird about posting here. There is absolutely nothing wrong with people posting anything they want by the way!! Its just that I would feel odd writing a post about some personal experience here, I feel I'd have to write it in a cryptic poem or something, lol.
If ya know what I mean ? janejj

I do understand and I don't blame you.
All I can say is that not everyone does it. I have off board relationships with a few people. But if I mention them on board, I try to place it in a context that is understandable to anyone reading. And if I fall short, I'm happy to explain. I think most people are like that.
To speak of private matters in a public setting, in such a way that deliberately excludes others, that I would not do. To be proud of it.... That I do not even understand.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't post here. The more people who post supportive, inclusive, posts, the less the other posts stick out.

I usually post to only one person "cyptically" intentionally and that is JYL. I only do that because I used to write, or try to at least, and thanks to her --my "new Muse" I have been able to attempt to play with words again for the first time since I started to feel un hindged. No secrets there.
BUT what you were refering to here:
>>>>All I can say is that not everyone does it. I have off board relationships with a few people. But if I mention them on board, I try to place it in a context that is understandable to anyone reading.<<
was done on purpose because I was not sure if what I was told in private was ment to stay there, so I did try to cover another's tracks a bit and later in the evening, it was agreed I did what was best and what I thought was best. Sorry to offend anyone here, honest. I just for last night, did what I thought was the right thing to do...
In peace,
~tony

I have no idea what some of the posts are about so I just stay out of those threads. I just don't let the fact that some people post to each other cryptically intimidate me. I think sometimes it can seem like everyone else knows what is going but I really think that most people here are here to just post straightforwardly.
I don't mind so much if some of the threads are over my head or not meant for me to participate in. I just skip them. Just like I tend to skip the hostilities when they come up.
It is just really important, I think, that people not get intimidated away from here because I think most of us are here to speak plainly and to interact with lots of different people.
So, let's just keep posting and keep PSB going.

Well, I wouldn't have any way to judge, of course. :) But I'm glad that you felt like you did what you needed to do. I'm glad it was decided you were right. And I'm sorry you were put in the position of having to worry about it.
However, since Oddipus seems to be ok now, and since I no longer feel like I'm going crazy, I am going to take my lead from Noa.

Personally the cryptic exchanges were most of the reason I stopped posting here.
They didn't intimidated me, so much as I felt the tone of the board change.
Actually the poetic posts are something I love about this place; the talent of some posters here astonishes me.
When its a deliberate private exchange though
it just made things feel silly to me. I too have off board relationships with posters and if something is private thats where we keep it, it seems logical.
I know the expression "If you aren't part of the solution you're part of the problem" but considering the nature of the board, I'm afraid, at this point, I just don't have the mental energy to be part of the solution.
Although I do agree with you Noa and Dinah..Maybe later??

I hope so, Gabbi. Whenever you're ready. You always make such a charming and positive contribution to the board. Whenever you have the mental energy, I'll be delighted to see you.

Thanks Shar, Dinah, Noa, Yea, I'll definitely be around, it's no philisophical statement or anything, I just lost the groove.
I should say that I was crabby Gabbi yesterday, and I guess people aren't always able to email each other privately for various reasons. If they can find something to look forward to
by meeting up with someone here then thats a good thing; not a 'problem' as I stated. So I'll be back, its this age thing creepin up you know,... its getting harder to change my ways.
( I can't blame my medication anymore thats getting old )

Hey, now I'm envious because you have a great rhyme going with your name--"Crabby Gabbi"--I love it!
Take care.
