welcome to the board! jump right in on any thread. everyone here is very nice; and if they're not, then they're disciplined. here on the social board you can talk about whatever you want to talk about that's chatty and...well, sociable. your interests, your home life, your crisis du jour, anything. for example, here's me, tonight:
i can hardly sleep because i'm so excited about seeing my brother and sister-in-law tomorrow. they're bringing their five month old baby to visit. i love that kid more than i would have thought possible. i don't have any kids of my own (yet?) so i can't wait until he gets old enough to spoil properly! i'm going to take him to the park and the zoo and the ballpark and buy him anything he wants. as fun aunt sabina, i consider that to be my job.
i just hope my fibromyalgia isn't too bad tomorrow. i hate to be puny when i have company. i have to act more than okay to cover up so that no one feels uncomfortable, then it takes me three days to recover from overdoing it, physically. as for my meds, i'll just have to switch around my afternoon dose so i don't get too drowsy.
someone made a quiz a while back and i thought that was fun; but then, i'm easily amused. a discussion/confession of what nasty things we had rotting or growing in our fridges was another fun one. of course, there's no shortage of broken heart stories and relationship woes. i'm sure you have something to bring to the party as well. glad you found us.

Thanks for that post Sabina. I feel welcomed. I had a friend tell me about this place. I am very greatful to her.
Well as for me...I was wondering if anyone here has like a panic disorder or depression or something? I am not on any meds so I'm lookin for some support not regarding meds. Anyone out there? Just people who wanna talk. Thanks for reading.

Welcome.
I have depression, but I do take meds. I also go to therapy (8 1/2 years so far), and I've learned some things there. Are you in therapy? How do you cope with your illness?

I would be delighted to talk with you. Is there any significance of the word,"upshutter" in relation to you using it as your posting name? All I can think of in relation to that word is a shutter on a floor of a house that is not the ground floor, hence a shutter that is up.

Well thank you all!
First of all, I am not on anu meds. I deal with panic disorder in no way in particular. Well, I do come to boards like these...that's what helps me. I'm trying to get through it without the need for meds. It's hard sometimes.
The name Upshutter is a funny story. I have this friend who is like family, and she always say shut up when someone says something really profound/loving....she's just playing. One day she was telling me to shut up (keep in mind we all know she is joking, but we play along, it's fun) she dais, "shut up, up shut". We all started laughing, and told me that one of my screen names should be Upshutter. I used it for other places...I just love this name, I don't know why. So I use this name everywhere! I think it's really diferent/unique and has a sense of silliness, like me. I love being goofy and making people laugh...Upshutter just kinda goes with my personality. :)
