Hi,
I used to use psychobabble for support and info when I was on effexor and I'm hoping this board might do some of the same.
Recently my boyfriend broke up with me, this is a man I loved very much, in fact, the first man I've ever loved. I'm devastated and trying to cope, not sure how, I can't stop crying and I feel this overwhelming sadness and I just want to die.
Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on how to cope after a depression and without medication?
I would appreciate any input, thanks.

i know what it is like trying to deal w/ losing someone close to you and it's a very overwhelming experience. the way that i dealt w/ it was to stay busy to try to keep my mind off of it. however, i don't know if this is the greatest advice because it can really cause your emotions to harbor up if you don't deal w/ them. also, try to stay confident--don't give in and call him when you have urges to. hope it helps in any way.

Can we talk about medication? I mean is that OK? I would like to know how others feel about that. Is that generally the way things go here?
Thanks,
Nemo
