Labor day in the US. And as is traditional in my family, I'm spending it laboring. :) Garden work early and late, and now I'm going to do my real paying work. Hourly workers know no holidays.
Is anyone doing anything more fun than that? Barbeques, day trips, shopping?

Nuttin' much. A little shopping for the family room re-organization -- got a curtain and rod for one window, plus a 5-arm floor lamp with purple blue and lime green shades, and some CD racks and plastic bins. Now I suppose I should go out and purchase 5 light bulbs. And return the extra racks and rings I ended up not needing.
The mall was an overcrowded nightmare.
The neighbors dog spent several hours whining and barking. Any tips on how to calm a dog? The owners weren't home. I tried peeking over the fence and talking to them, but that just induced more barking.

Doesn't seem as if anyone's doing anything today. it's a jammie-wearing-pouring down rain day here and only in the low 60's. I love it. i can't wait for that crisp clean Fall air, MacCoun apples, colorful chubby bumpy gourds and eating baked pumpkin seeds.
