self-stuff

An all too common habit of slating our low self-esteem, low self-respect, and low self-worth, is at work when we complain all the time as adults. Complaining keeps us in the problem and away from the solution. Chronic indecision added to complaining can cause a sense of low self-worth and low self-esteem. Indecision can block the ability to accept a way out. Denial works in a similar way to block knowledge and understanding. However, a solution to feelings of low self-esteem and low self-worth is readily available: STOP COMPLAINING! I know! I been there! See just how long we can resist complaining, first out loud and later with our internal voice. An encouraging note is that the more we resist complaining, the better we get at resisting complaining in new situations. If people important to us avoid us because we complain all the time, when they recognize the change, they will be more available and less avoidant when we don’t complain anymore. It’s no secret that we have a better concept of self when we relate well with people. We will have more people to relate to, improving our concept of self. Look up complaining at www.dictionary.com.

I'm in trouble, I even complain about my complaining.

You've made very valid points as I am a chronic complainer and my self esteem is only above zero because of my new job.

>>>An encouraging note is that the more we resist complaining, the better we get at resisting complaining in new situations. (I said that?)

I hope you can soon see past your low self-esteem so you can "knock-'em-dead" on your new job.....

First, you're a good person, so enjoy this adventure of a new job...
