me, too.(((jai))) and thanks, karen, for your
compassion. there's some history here that I think isn't being fully considered. it started, it seems to me, very innnocently and affectionately on jai's part. yes, maybe she didn't quite get it fast enough, and yes, i cringed for her vulnerability, her willingness to put herself out there so nakedly, her persistence~~~but it wasn't malicious, it was just an excess of affection! maybe unwanted affection, but still, affection! much worse has been done, here and in the big world, the real world, the historical world, with less vituperative response. and yes, perhaps she responded to that response out of hurt and pain, and perhaps she didn't make the best response. but can't we agree that neither of these "sides" is evil, criminal, or attack-worthy? two people with complicated histories, personalities, and needs miscommunicated. can't we please wish them both serenity and forgiveness (of self and others),and let it go? i, for one, need a little of jai's vulnerability, her willingness to expose herself to rejection and hurt. i'm way too careful about whom I allow to hurt me, and I'm a much more tight-donkeyed human because of my carefulness of self. And i'm pretty sure I'm not as evolved as I could be because of the care I take to feel safe. So, I salute you, Jai! Yours is a brave spirit. I'm sorry you've been hurt, and I wish both you and Larry growth, love, acceptance.

Thank you for saying all of the things that even I am too much of a coward to say. I've learned by now that by choosing sides you also choose enemies. So, I choose to just give support when I feel it's needed. And I felt it was needed..
Thank you so much for putting into words the things that I was afraid to say. I really can't tell you........

Okay, what horrible thing has happened to me? I have been on the coast getting wind burn and seeing ocean birds. I love the hugs and the support.
Send me in the right direction?

I want to watch ocean birds! Have you seen any of those black birds that dive into the water and stay underwater until they catch a fish?

Jai,
I hope you enjoyed you vacation. Was it a vacation??? I think the right direction is to just stay clear of everything. It may be tempting to read what's going on, but what good would that do? I'd avoid what you can and stick to the boards that you find enjoyable. I see you find the new writing board suitable. (And your posts are very good, sometimes heartbreaking but very insightful)...Stick with what you can handle and avoid what you can't. Did that help, hun? Glad to see you back :)

Dear friend there are birds called Alcids that use their wings to "fly" underwater in pursuit of prey. I did not see them, which is unfortunate, but I did see the Northern Gannets...3 adults and one juvenile, a loon, some juvenile King Eiders, lots of Common Eiders, Scoters, Black Guillemot, Harlequin Ducks....and so many more. It was a feast for the eyes and so cold. A lot of these ducks are diving ducks and I am sure the scene under the water would be so spectacular.
