I remeber that my friends mother was a nurse and she mentioned that every two years they have to go back and pass a test to keep the credentials current. I kept wondering if doctors have to do this too. Seems kind of odd to make nurses continually take exams...

Do you think you can handle what's going on without going to stay in the hospital? With all you mentioned, that sounds like a lot of stress. Maybe you would feel safer being in the hospital until things get stablized. I'm really sorry to hear all this is happening to you. I hope things get better really soon.

Wow, I'm trying to handle similar issues, and I hope you will do what is best for YOU (whether it is best for husband or mom or licensing board or not!). Hearty congrats to you for hanging in there for it all! Don't give up now....especially if you're not 50 yet!

Best wishes,
Shar

P.S. Glad you posted!

Please do what is best for you. If you feel that going to the hospital for awhile will help, please do that. I bet you only have to get re-certified....that works in Oklahoma. But most of all, take care of yourself and we'll all be thinking of you. Pat

kelly, You have never had an easy go of it but, if there ever was one, you are a survivor.
Every time I want to end it all I think..Am I really ready for harp solos instead of AC/DC, I think not!
An eternal bliss with relatives? There's an oxymoron for you. Wings?!! AACCKKK! Streets of gold and no cigarettes, no bongs, songs or thongs? No TexMex, no mocha frapps? No chips and hot sauce?
I know a helpful thing for my depression. I accept that I'm badly flawed and I accept that I'm never really alone. I pedal the bike and let God drive. I just wish He would wear his contacts.
We are loved deeply whether we like it or not. Hold on kelly. (Yes Father? I know you have harpists that are better than Doc Sevrensons' Band.
You do have TexMex? Oh, from California. Sorry, it ain't CalMex, it's TEXMex, big difference. Hey! You set it up: New York, bagels. Chicago, pizza and 'Dogs. California, You eat your yard and have botox injections. No kiddin, you like the Stones and couldn't get tickets? How many times have I told you? Go to Charlie or Keith, Mick thinks he's you.)

Blessings to you, kelly.

Phil

Kelly I remember you. I remember how amazing you are with sick and older people who need care. It is a gift you have.

I'm glad you posted.

If you need to go back into the hospital for a bit to get some strength back, you should. Your husband and kids will want you to stick around for a long time, I'm sure, so please don't give up, although I understand how overwhelming all the troubles have been.

I'm glad you reached out here. I'll be rootin for your recovery.

I remember you too Noa, I don't remember the last time i posted? they had me on high dose of meds and i was in and out of the hospital, the last time i was in the hospital was 2002,but the thing that scares me is that was live a hour away from where we lived before, so it would be a new place.plus i have no insurence to pay for it,we tried to get ssi but since i get ssdi i made $20.00 to much.
i see my dr. on thurs. and the nurse for meds on fri. so mybe she could up my meds. I can tell them i have a gun.

Hi, I am new on this site. Oct of last year was my start. We are not old buddies but....I would like to encourage you to find yourself in a safe place.
*I really hope you don't have a gun.
My mother had the same diagnosis as you. She has now died of old age...and she had a good life surrounded with people who loved her.
She was just hitting her stride and then the genetics kicked in. She was hospitalized right after my birth. All my life my mother has had this illness.

My encouragement is do what is best for you....it ends up being what is best for your family.
Keep yourself safe and healthy.
I know it's a long road to find the right meds.
It was such a struggle for my mother and sister. But now my sister is stable and happy.
So please hang on...things can work out maybe not the exactly the way you might have wanted but still in a good way.
I will keep you in my thoughts.

Kelly--yikes, you are scaring me. I don't know if you are joking to say you would say that just to get them to admit you to hospital or if it is true that you have a gun.

Please, if you do have a gun, give it to someone to keep away from you right now while you are in a bad place.

Keep safe, Kelly. Please.

I really don't want to got to the hospital, I'll tell my therapist tomarrow how i feel. My husband wants to go w/ me too, just in case i have to go.But i hope not, the last time i was in the hospital i got hurt(big burse on my leg) from the workers, cause i didn't want this one med. so they takled me to the bed and gave me a shoot of this med. I did ask my husband to hide the gun safe keys from me, and he did. If i have to go i'll tell my husband to post that i went.
thank for all the help, kellyr

Kelly--I'm so sorry you had to go through that in the hospital.

I hope you can find a way to be safe and get taken care of without having to go in the hospital, but if you do have to, think of it as short term to get through this rough spot.

Thanks for having your husband post to let us know.

And I'm thrilled to hear you are taking measures to keep yourself safe--like having him lock up your gun and keep the keys away from you.

Take care.

Kellyr,
I am new here, so you don't know me. But I wanted to add my encouragement. I am glad that you have your husband to help you. Clearly it is an extremely serious and difficult time for you. Please continue to do what you are doing to stay safe. I'm glad you posted and I look forward to getting to know you. You are in my thoughts.
