I am starting my 9th. week on 10mg. lexapro & I am still having anxiety from the lex after it's in my system a hour. The tiredness has pretty much subsided but should I still be having this anxiety? I take 1/2mg. of klonopin with lex-hate to see what I'd be without that.It has helped my depression & I feel like doing things again. The first 8 weeks were very difficult for me. I felt like throwing the towel in the 5th. week, but you ladies gave me the encouragement I needed to tough it out. I've learned so much reading your posts. Thanks to all of you.

Hi Zena -
When I was at about 8 - 10 weeks on 10mg, I still was not where I wanted to be - some depression and obsessive thoughts were still around. I went up to 20 mg. and have been much happier with the results. Went through a few side effects (not bad at all) for a couple of weeks. My only lingering effects have been insomnia, which has improved over the past 3 months.Good luck!

Hi Lynne,
Thank you for your input. I am going to wait until I've been on it 3 months before I go back to the Dr. He told me it would take that long before I would feel the full effects.I don't have a problem with insomnia as the remeron takes care of that.

Sorry if it's confusing, but I'd like to keep discussions focused on medication at (just plain) Psycho-Babble. Here's a link:
