Many of you know Dee (Deirdrehbrt) from her posts on Babble sites. Yesterday she went into the hospital. It is a good hospital and it has helped her in the past. She posted recently about her current pain (could be triggering: http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/social/20040422/msgs/340801.html).
I'll be going to see her Saturday afternoon (leaving around 1PM EST). If anyone wants to send her a message, please post on this thread and I'll bring them to her then.

I read your post a few days ago and the sadness that sits in my heart is so huge. No child deserves what happened to you and no adult should have to go through the pain of remembering.
I think your work at the crisis center was a way of preparing yourself for these memories. You aren't immune to help, but you have to respect your inner protectors and what they can tolerate.
I always thought I "knew" what happened to me too. I knew most of it. But when I started talking about it with a safe person, my world crashed down. It took awhile but slowly I pulled it together and continued to look inside. I've only recently (past 4 or 5 months or so) gone deep enough to learn the rest of the truth.
I know what you mean by the "word." It is beyond painful to have someone say it out loud and add your name to the sentence. Unbelievable and surreal. I dreamed it for awhile, had a flashback and then realized the truth of the memory.
You are not alone with this pain. I'm glad you are in a safe place. I'm sending you strength, hope and faith that you will get through it.

you take care of yourself. and allow those wonderful doctors and nurses to help you feel better as well dear. i'm thinking about you sweetheart. do what you need to so you can get back to being your wonderful, witty self. it's hard, but you are doing an amazing job. i really admire you for that.

I know you are dealing with some really horrible memories right now, and I'm glad you are taking care of yourself and getting help at this difficult time. I hope you feel better soon, and I look forward to chatting with you again when you're back (though not at 2 am, I hope!).

Hi Dee,
I wish I had the right words to make it all better. I wish I had a time machine and could go back to when you were little and spare you of all this pain.
Take care of yourself, you're stronger than you know, you went to the hospital because you know you needed to be where it's safe. Let them take care of you, you deserve care.

Greetings from Camp [insert hospital name]. Thank you so much for your kind words of understanding and support, they make me feel connected to something while I'm here behind locked doors.
I don't know how long I'll be here, but I want to learn some skills for dealing with the pain before I leave. I can't wait to get back on Open so that I can get kicked off again ;-) .
