Um, forgive the obvious cognitive delay, but I'm guessing that your Yahoo troubles include your access to your email account? Yes? Ah, that would explain a great deal...
Just wanted you to know I was thinking about you, and that once you get Yahoo back you'll see I can prove it.
;-)

Racer,
Actually, I CAN still access email. That's what's so annoying about this, and it tells me that it's a Yahoo glitch. I've not heard anything more back from them. I am going to set up a new acct. Did you recently email something? The last thing I have from you was dated Wed. the 2nd. I sent a reply on that same day, ranting about all of this hassle. Did you get my rant?I'll definitely send you an email when I get going again.
Take care and thanks for thinking about me. I can use all the positive thoughts I can get, 'cuz the week just went from bad to worse. (Probably have a totalled car thanks to someone who ran a stop sign this afternoon. I doubt he ever noticed it. Hit me broadside in the driver's side, but fortunately in the rear door, mostly. But car is 11 years old, so I'd be surprised if it's worth fixing. Not safe to drive at the moment as the front driver side door will not stay closed. Pretty scary to have it swing open whenever you turn! Fortunately I was just about a block from school when it happened. sigh Oh yeah, I'm unhurt. Just aggravated and feeling a but surreal as this is my first accident of any significance.
Take care,
gg

Oh dear! "When sorrows come, they come not single spies, but in battalions"...William wasn't kidding! You got quite the wammy this week sweetie! So sorry to hear about your accident. Very scarey! Wish I could hug-it-make-it-better.
Sell the car for scrap, and buy a new PC so you can get to Yahoo-land. :-)

one of those bungey (bungy?) cords helps. with the hooks on it. know what i'm talking about? you can find a way to secure the door (though it doesn't sound like something you'd want to do, does it? personally i didn't care, as long as my car kept running, and the door flying open helped provide some entertainment and excitement for my passengers. now, when i was alone, before the bungey (bungy?) cord idea, it wasn't so fun. i guess those monkey arms came in handy though...)
i'm sorry your week has been so horrible. and i'm so very glad you weren't hurt. the last time my old man was in a wreck (piece of crap car, but an suv so the value held up) he got a new one out of the mess (not a new one paid in full, but the motivation to get a nice car as well as a nice down payment). maybe that will happen in your case? if not, maybe you can find someone to buy you a new car? i'm still working on getting a pony, but he's not budging on the issue.
HEY! you could buy me a pony and i can get you a nice volvo 740 turbo. how's that sound? let's barter here....
(((((((gg)))))))))) we miss you as much as you miss talking to us dear. take care of yourself and watch that door. and get back to me on the pony, ok?

hi gg don't know if i should post here or there
but feel better!
and there is a handy little feature on open -after you sign in with your new account, click the "Members" link on the left side of the page. it lists all the open members, and you can repopulate your address list from there!
((gg)) good thing the week is almost over.

Yes, glad the week is almost over. I'm afraid of what tomorrow will bring, but I have a rescheduled appt. with my T. Yes, I was on the way to see him when I got hit. Of all the dumb luck. I should have had a phone session since I had to wait so long. Or maybe, since I was just a half mile away, he would have come and held my hand through it.
Now that would be nice.
Your suggestion about the membership list is a good one. I actually already did that. I don't think I'm such a nerd now, for doing it since you suggested it.
Thanks,
gg

Thanks for the quote. It's true, I swear. I don't need a new PC. It happens at school, too. I need to conk Yahoo over it's virtual head. I think I will, however, be getting a new car, perhaps belatedly, for my birthday. It's only about 6-8 months earlier than we planned. But who knows? Maybe they can fix the heap!
Take care and talk to you soon! TGIF! (I hope)

KK,
I don't think the insurance will cover a pony. Maybe when I stop costing money and perhaps even start earning some money, I can consider it then. But do you think a pony is a fair trade for a Volvo? How about My little pony? Would that be sufficient?I can definitely buy you a latte, as my GA's gave me a Starbucks gift card as a thank you/going away gift. I was so touched. And excited, because I am really, seriously addicted to SB's. It starts with the Tall, which seems so easy and harmless. Pretty soon you think, I'll just try the Grande. I could use just a bit more. And soon enough you are drinking the Venti everytime. The Venti, which used to disgust you. You thought, only true addicts or weak people could ever need that much latte at one time. Oh God! I've hit bottom! I go to Starbucks everyday and get a Venti! Someone do an intervention. My GA's are enabling me!
At least my good buddy in the office was kind enough to drive me to Starbuck's right after the accident. I needed my "bottle".
Take care and thanks for the kind thoughts. I wish I had monkey arms and bungee's!

I'm glad you're ok, Gardenergirl. Car accidents are so upsetting. And computer problems irritate me no end.
Well, the week is almost over, and maybe you'll wake up next week to find one of the luckiest ever. (OK, I'm feeling a bit the cockeyed optimist this morning. I'll go lie down till it disappears.)

I was in a wreck just about like yours earlier in the month. I was just sitting there at a dead stop minding my own business when a guy hit the girl behind me and pushed her into me. My car was totaled. Since there were three of us involved it was such a huge hassle with the insurance. But on Tuesday I finally got my new car and its much better than the old one. So I guess it worked out for the best. Take care of yourself and invest in a notebook to keep track of details and phone numbers – you'll probably need it.
This is the end of the thread.
