1. GG was in an accident (not good), but GG is okay (very good).
2. I stayed home sick from work today (not good), but I had some wonderful company in the morning and a nice afternoon nap (very good).
3. My son shares well with other kids and even with Mommy, Daddy, and the dog. Sometimes when he’s eating dinner he’ll say, "Mabel’s turn" and give her a green bean. He sure is generous with those veggies ;). I have to give daycare a lot of credit. He is such a kind, well-behaved, loving boy. And I’m not just saying that because I’m his mommy ;).
4. I’ve been baking a ton. Normally, this might suggest I’m avoiding some stressor(s) in my life. Perhaps, but for now we are just enjoying the yummy treats.
5. On Sunday, I’m having a going away party for one of my neighbors. Kind of sad because they are moving, but I’m looking forward to having a bunch of our friends over.
6. I managed to get all of my son’s toys organized. No small task!
7. My office is casual dress. Not business casual. Just plain casual. It’s easy to get ready for work every morning.
8. I get to see my T in less than 48 hours. Whew! It's been another long two weeks.
9. I picked out a color to paint our bedroom.
10. Have I ever told you guys how much I love my husband and son? (Just tell me when you're sick of hearing it.)

1. I was not hurt. And, I might get a new car out of it (that's good and bad. Would love new car, would not love paying for it just now.)
2. My GA's gave me a lovely and quite appropriate going away gift...a Starbuck's gift card! Boy do they know me. And the card was both really cute and very sincere.
3. My husband is the most wonderful, most supportive, strongest, (and has cutest butt!) man in the world...sorry AllDone. Yours is great too. But mine's the best.
4. That deserves two. He knows how to comfort me. He's not mad about the car, he's just glad I'm okay. He's supportive and comforting about my distress over weight gain. He's So THERE for me.
5. My friend took me to Starbuck's when I finally made it to the office.
6. I was able to resched. my session with my T for tomorrow morning.
7. I had a nice chat with my distant uncle tonight. KK, I think you should pass on this one.
8. I'm back in Open and yahoo IM!!!!
9. I was really productive this a.m. while working on my dissertation.
10. Babble! Thanks AD, for starting this.

About your #3. You know, I'm used to fighting with KK. This might be a bit of a challenge for me, but I must defend the honor of my husband's butt. So here. I'll give you all the wonderful, supportive, strongest, stuff. But the butt? No way!!! My husband worked hard to get his perfect butt pushing shopping carts (yes, KK, shopping carts) all through college and he has maintained it's shape and firmness ever since. His butt is a source of pride for me. You know, like, "yeah, that's my husband over there. The one with the great butt." I just cannot let you claim the best butt title for your husband. Perhaps you can think of something else? Nice abs? Great hands? (Wait, I think Dinah's hubby has claim to that one.) Perfect hair? (Well, I might have to fight you on that one, too. Graying with a great cut and he uses styling product every morning.) Fantastic biceps, triceps, whateverceps? Please, you must find something else so I don't feel so bad about ripping this title away from your hubby.

Wow. It's been forever since I did one of these... Here's my 10 reasons to be thankful.
1) The weather has been extremely nice the last 48 hours.
2) I've eaten pretty healthy all week with very few slipups.
3) I'm meeting a friend tonight for a girls night out. Can't remember the last time I did this.
4) I have beautiful flowers on my desk. They were a surprise from someone yesterday.
5) Haven't had any crying spells this week.
6) My boss won't be back in town for a whole week. Freedom!
7) My cat actually let me sleep last night instead of running around like a night demon.
8) My apartment is semi-clean.
9) Can't forget the tingles I get when I'm around a certain someone.
10) Decided to rebel and not wear nylons to work today. I hate those things even though they do suck you in. They feel so yucky against my skin.

*the most important thing happened to me today. one of the best things that i've had happen in a while. i was looking for software to install so i can finally get my resume adjusted and *BAM* i found ween's greatest country classics! i laughed, i cried, i sang and danced, and i played the cd all morning (and it will continue throughout the day).
that one's so wonderful i won't even include it on my 10 list...
10. my old man is going away this weekend. ('is that good?' you may be wondering. if you are wondering, then you obviously don't know my old man! i think he's attempting to avoid me too. i wish someone would finally speak up in this relationship and just admit IT'S NOT WORKING! but, i'd rather just leave in the middle of the night. that's what i do. now,if i wanted to be very mean, i could request that he takes *his* dog with him. but, that would prevent him from going and i wouldn't want to do that. but, he'd have to clean out his car when he returned, and that would make my day. (i'm spiteful aren't i?)
9. i still haven't heard back form my therapist. though, i think i figured out a trick. if you do not want a therapist to call you back, say "i assume you'll call me back!" i need to remember that one in future situations where i don't want someone to call me back, but i want to pretend like i do. and the really great part about him calling back is that the other girl won't feel uncomfortable knowing that i know some things about her i shouldn't. if he were to call me back, i'd be tempted to tell him i was quitting because i have a close social tie to this girl, making group uncomfortable for both of us at this point. (but i do wonder what was said about me when my friend went over to her house. i know this doesn't even make sense, does it?)
8. i found old pictures of me as a little girl and i was *gasp* dancing and *gasp* flirting. but, my sister was winking in one, so she's a bigger flirt than i. and i realized my feet weren't always this big. my boobs haven't grown much, but my feet sure have.
7. did i mention my old man was leaving for the weekend? oh, i think i did. i have a cabinet full of bourbon! but i don't have any woods or a pool nearby. perhaps i can pretend my front yard is a pool?
6. there was a program on trio last night with tori amos. i forgot how very beautiful she was until i watched it. it reminded me of her wonderful voice and words, so i pulled out some music and listened, almost reliving past experiences in a way.
5. the cure was on tv last night too. for something, i can't quite recall. i haven't had a chance to watch the program, but i'm so excited to see what mr smith looks like now. and i watn to know what song they played.
4. it was a full moon last night. perhaps that's why i've been in such a great mood? my friend called me about some moon gathering she went to and tried to talk me into going to a rainbow gathering on my birthday. i'm thinking no! none of that hippie crap for me, thank you. holding hands is fine, but only if it involves petting further down the road.
3. i miss kid. but, i assume he's not posting much because he's very very happy right now. (hint hint kid, if you read this) i wonder if he's still smoking? or still chewing gum? or perhaps he's in jail? or mean wife has him strapped to the "X" rack? KID?????
2. i don't need a husband to have a cute butt, since i have my own cute butt to look at and touch. and i don't get jealous if other people look at this butt, because it's mine and looks are encouraged. so, all done, your husband may have a cute butt, however my butt is the cutest. (side note, i'm still trying to send you that picture :)
1. my dog hasn't used the dining room as his personal restroom in quite a while. my mood is wonderful. i have fantastic friends. mr bob's posts give me a warm, fuzzy feeling. i have a full bag of coffee. i'm thinking of moving to vermont (i heard about this guy named jon who plays the banjo and six of his friends). i talked to one of my sisters yesterday and she didn't sound much like a drill sergeant. i got a library card and several books. my appliances are breaking down for some reason, but who needs appliances anyway? i still have a cd player that works. i'm happy and healthy. my house is clean and smells good.

ok, i'm going to give this a try.
1. I just got The Faint's new remix CD...THIS ROCKS! -this is the best thing in weeks.2. actually got quite a few things done at work today.
3. my T's going on vacation (this isn't good at all) but even though i'm obsessing on this i haven't had a breakdown at all (yet)!
4. i lost 3 lbs
5. i've got the ambition to attempt camping (for one night only) this weekend. ...bringing LOTS of beverages just incase...
6. Glad GG OK!
7. haven't broken anything mine or others in two days (i'm a Real clutz so this is surprising).
8. I've been able to access babble three times today!
9. I'm starting to feel a little comfortable with my T (ok, here starts the obsessing...now i'm thinking i'm just feeling comfortable and now he's leaving...ok..just one week...breathe.)
10. i made it through my first top ten!!!

Okay, I've never participated in this, and I don't know if I can get to 10, but I'll try.
1. I'm finally through with the month long insurance hassle after my wreck.
2. I finally got out of my rental car and into one of my own.
3. My car is so cute and I got a good deal on it.
4. My friend wasn't really avoiding me today like I thought she was.
5. I'm going out with friends tonight.
6. Although painful, the past week or so has been enlightening and filled with self discovery concerning some of my 'issues'.
7. I still have one more check to come from the insurance for pain and suffering.
8. My six year old nephew is the joy of my life.
9. Although my current job has its problems, it is s-o-o-o much better than the last one that was literally making me ill because of the stress.
10. (Hey, what do you know. I'm at ten). We had some bad storms the last few nights and I'm not one of the people that *still* don't have power. Oh, and the storm didn't hurt my car (they started the night I brought it home and we don't have a garage).

I don't know about ripping the title away. You haven't seen my husband's butt. He's probably grateful for that, as he's a bit shy. Hmm, hair, eh, I don't know. He tends to get a military cut. But he does have very nice thick hair. All he has to do is comb it in the morning after his shower. (I hate that about men!) He has nice hands, and when we met great big muscular thighs because he used to fence in college. His abs are great, although for some odd reason only a four back instead of a six pack. Maybe cuz he likes those Guiness cans with the CO2 cartridge inside? They come in four packs. And his insulin pump takes something away from the image.
Nope, it's the butt, with a shout out to his legs, too.
Sorry!
Maybe we can have regional winners.

Thanks for making me feel cared about regarding my accident. I really appreciate it, since I called my mom to tell her, and almost didn't get the chance because she went on and on about her stuff and then said, "well, I have to go." Um, Mom, I called YOU! BTW, I have something to say, too. Of course she's mostly worried about how this will affect my ability to take her to an appt. on Monday.
So thanks. I agree with TofuEmmy. You can't pick your family, but you can pick who you treasure and allow to be close. Thank you all so much for showing you care.

My new car is an Acura RSX S-type. I haven't had a sportscar in 12 years or so. Everyone seems to be very keen to pass me on the roads, which is fine by me - let them get caught!
I highly recommend cars.com for research on new and used cars. Also the cartalk.com site for some good reviews. We used both sites when making our decision.

Thanks,
I'm leaving the research to my hubby, but I'll pass your info along. I'm sure it will help. I told him basics of what I want. He knows what we can afford, and will find out what's the best, most reliable combination of both. And then I'll go test drive it. Right now we are planning to start with the Hyundai Accent.Take care,
