Happy Birthday Auntie Mel!

Ha ha, you couldn't slide this past me:

...but don't be so hard on yourself, I'm sure you won't need a bib for many many years yet! ;- )

Hope we're not running out of candles around here yet! Oops, I made an unintentional funny. I don't mean because you need so many candles on your cake, I mean because there have been so many b-day threads over the last few days. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

We will be having some zurek, followed by strawberry shortcake. The kind with a big, knobby homemade bisquit underneath, drenched in fresh cream. None of that Jello crap today. And you can bring your marmite, but be careful. Zip it into the secret compartment of your suitcase, because I checked and they only allow it in toxic waste zones here.

Have a stupendous day! Maybe next year at this time I'll be seein ya in Chi Town. :- )

Thank you all.

Ok, spoc, you're right. I was begging for attention.

Around here, birthdays usually go by barely acknowledged. Odd thing - major, major panic attack on Saturday. Scared to death folks would make a big deal of it, and scared they wouldn't.

But my youngest kiddo arranged a surprise party, and even invited some folks that I didn't know she even knew enough to contact. Huge embarassment - great fun.

<<<<< Oh my no, I didn't think that! Thus the reference to "couldn't *slide* (hide) this past me!"

<<<<< Yes, all true. I actually had a similar conflict between posting to say happy b-day or not! I gambled, and do hope you didn't mind!!! This must be exactly how most people end up suffering this fate. Sorry if applicable!

<<<<<< Glad you ended up having a hoot! Hope the fun lasts all week, don't we deserve whole weeks? :- )
