My husband is not amenable to depression and mental disorders in general. He knew of my mental past and when I relapsed this year, I think it might have changed his perception a little bit. I didn't want him to know about this board, thinking that he would ridicule it or laugh at me but I decided to tell him about it to further champion getting internet at home. He didn't laugh at me. He simply said that he can understand that the board is helping me knowing that I don't talk face to face easily and express myself better in writing. I didn't realise he knew me that well. I thought he would be sarcastic yet he was perceptive instead. This made me realise that I underestimate him and his efforts to support me and see me through my illness. I am very blessed to have him
:)

My husband is the same. He can't understand my illness but realizes now that this place makes me feel much less isolated. That in helping each other we help ourselves. He's a very special man.

I'm so glad your husband is trying to be supportive! My soon-to-be ex husband was not supportive and would deliberately do things to make my depression/panic worse. So...you are lucky-hold on to him! :)

It's nice to know there's someone else here who has a soon-to-be ex-husband.
